Role Description The Event Planner at Talks On Tuesdays is a Part Time Contractor role based in Perth.

This role is responsible for planning and executing weekly event experiences, including developing event concepts, coordinating speakers, and securing suitable venues. Day-to-day tasks include creating event timelines, managing vendor relationships, overseeing guest registrations, and ensuring all logistics run smoothly on the night. The Event Planner will collaborate closely with the founders on programming, manage event budgets, support promotional activities,



and be present at events to coordinate setup, guest flow, and post-event wrap-up.

Qualifications
Strong communication skills across email, phone, and in-person interactions, with the ability to build relationships with speakers, venues, and guests.
Event planning and event management experience, including coordinating logistics, timelines, and stakeholders for live events.
Budgeting skills to create, track, and manage event budgets while optimizing costs and maintaining quality.
Sales and promotional skills to support ticket sales, partnerships, and audience growth.
Organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple events and deadlines.
Experience working in hospitality, entertainment, or cultural events is highly beneficial.
Comfort working on-site during evenings, with a hands-on approach to event setup and guest experience.
Relevant qualification in event management, communications, marketing, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
