Provide productive and effective cleaning services to support infection control and clinical operations within the Queensland Children’s Hospital and surrounding facilities, including the Centre for Children’s Health Research (CCHR), Bank Building, and Queensland Children’s Hospital Energy Plant (QCHEP). Provide productive and effective portering services within the Queensland Children’s Hospital precinct. Undertake a wide range of support services within the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Deliver a high level of customer service, demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.

About The Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families in accordance with the Children’s Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.

Responsibilities
Cleaning duties (including infectious environments)



– cleaning high and low areas such as walls, floors, bathrooms, windows, ceilings, furniture, and fittings, as well as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, buffing, and scrubbing. Utilise IT platform software and devices, such as iClean, to track tasks and monitor cleaning status.
Undertake general and periodic cleaning of all clinical and non-clinical areas within QCH and surrounding facilities, ensuring tasks are performed in accordance with CHQ procedures and standards, Infection Control Guidelines and the Strategic Operational Services Unit (SOSU).
