Batchfire Resources is the owner of Callide Mine in Central Queensland, an open-cut coal operation located 120km south west of Gladstone and 20km northeast of the thriving regional township of Biloela.
A long-standing operation, Callide Mine is an open-cut coal mine producing 11mtpa of thermal coal for domestic power generation, alumina refining, and export markets. The operation has extensive recoverable coal reserves and long-term supply contracts in place, ensuring a long-term future.
What Will You Be Doing
Supervising day-to-day mining operations
Leading and mentoring operators and production crews
Coordinating daily work activities to meet production targets
Monitoring compliance with site safety procedures and standards
Liaising with site management and other departments
Conducting pre-start meetings and safety inspections
Ensuring equipment and personnel are utilised efficiently
Completing shift reports and operational documentation
What You Will Need
Previous experience as a Mining Supervisor
Current Standard 11
Current Coal Board Medical
Current Driver's Licence
Demonstrated leadership experience within a mining environment
Solid communication and organisational skills
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Relevant Supervisor qualifications
