COLD STORAGE FORKLIFT OPERATOR ) Smithfield, Sydney, Australia

Salary: AUD38 - AUD39 per hour

Day Shift: 6am-2pm Rate: $38

Afternoon Shift: 2pm-10pm $42

About the role: The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and effective movement, storage, loading, and unloading of chilled and frozen products while maintaining cold chain integrity and adhering to workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operate high-reach and counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks in accordance with site procedures.
Put away, replenish, and retrieve stock from racking locations.
Move palletised goods within chilled and frozen warehouse settings.
Conduct RF scanning and inventory transactions accurately.
Complete pre-start forklift inspections and report equipment faults.
Ensure products are handled in accordance with temperature-control requirements.
Maintain a clean, organised, and secure work environment.
Follow all WHS, food safety,



and company compliance requirements.
Assist with stocktakes and general warehouse duties as required.

Skills & Experience
Previous experience operating high-reach forklifts in a warehouse environment.
Experience working in cold storage, refrigerated, or food manufacturing environments is highly regarded.
Ability to work in chilled and frozen conditions.
Robust attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments, including chilled (0–4°C) and frozen (-18°C to -24°C) areas.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
Comfortable working at heights when operating high-reach forklifts.
