Strathalbyn Family Medical Centre is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a great supportive team in a casual role. This role is perfect for someone who has excellent communication skills, is able to multi-task, and is comfortable working in a busy environment. Good availability and flexibility to work with short notice would be ideal.
The successful candidate will hit the ground running and be highly motivated with a sound background in customer service. Proficient computer skills are essential with a knowledge of medical software including Best Practice desirable.
Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:
Excellent customer service – you will be the first point of contact for our patients, in person and on the phone
Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records
Processing payments, Medicare and third-party claims and reconciliations
Effective management of patient appointment types
General administration and daily office duties
Duties as required by Doctors and the Practice Manager
To be successful in this role, you will have:
