Smith St Medical Centre is growing and expanding, and seeking Casual Medical Receptionists to join our dynamic team in Charlestown, NSW. As a casual employee, you will provide essential administrative support to our medical practice, ensuring a smooth and effective experience for our patients.

What you’ll be doing
Greeting and welcoming patients, and managing patient inquiries and bookings
Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
Managing patient records, including updating medical histories and processing new patient registrations
Assisting with medical billing and processing insurance claims
Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required

What we’re looking for
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service‑oriented role in the healthcare industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, medical staff and other stakeholders in a skilled and empathetic manner
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities,



with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure
Proficiency in using medical practice management software and other relevant computer applications
A genuine interest in the medical field and a commitment to providing high‑quality patient care
