Skilled Labourer – Warehouse Work & Shed Construction
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Skilled Labourer to join our factory team. This role involves a mix of warehouse duties, including unloading shipping containers and handling incoming product, along with hands-on construction work such as building sheds and structural components. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
Unload shipping containers safely and efficiently, including manual handling and use of equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (if licensed)
Sort, check, and store incoming product according to factory procedures
Assist in the construction and assembly of sheds, including framing, cladding, and fittings
Read and interpret basic plans or work instructions
Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
Maintain a clean, organised, and secure work area
Follow all workplace health and safety (WHS)
policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and deadlines
Perform general labouring duties as required
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or construction environment preferred
Experience with shed building, steel framing, or general construction is highly regarded
Forklift licence (desirable but not essential; training may be provided)
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting heavy items
Positive understanding of workplace safety practices
Ability to work well in a team and take direction
Reliable, punctual, and a solid work ethic
