Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team-oriented finance team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end payroll function for a sizeable workforce while also providing assistance across broader finance and accounts administration duties.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing weekly and fortnightly payroll accurately and on time
Interpreting awards, agreements, overtime and allowances
Managing payroll queries and maintaining employee records
Processing payroll adjustments, terminations and leave calculations
Assisting with payroll reconciliations and compliance reporting
Supporting Accounts Payable and general finance administration as required
Assisting with account reconciliations and data entry
Collaborating closely with HR and operational stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in payroll processing within a high-volume environment
Understanding of relevant payroll legislation, awards and payroll compliance
Exposure to accounts administration, finance support or Accounts Payable functions
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Experience using large ERP or payroll systems will be highly regarded.
