Classic Meats Townsville is one of Townsville’s leading foodservice wholesale meat experts. We deliver wholesale portion control and all primal requirements to many of Townsville’s best hotels, restaurants, clubs and institutions.

An opportunity exists for a motivated & reliable Butcher with an immediate start available to the right person. Please note – this is not a retail position.
Monday - Friday working days (No Weekends!)
Early starts & early finishes - you get to enjoy your afternoons to pursue whatever your passions may be or to collect your children from school
Medium sized team
Duties include (but not limited to):
Cut bulk Meat product to portions for customer’s orders
Assisting with production of sausages, mince, patties & crumbing of products
Work co-operatively with all team members
General processing room duties and liaise with other departments
Assisting with clean down at the end of day

Skills and experience:
Experience within the wholesale and or retail butchery workplace, preparation of portions to a high standard




Must be competent with a boning knife and show skills to produce satisfactory products according to customer specifications
Committed to high standards of personal hygiene and maintaining WHS standards
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
Enthusiastic and willing to commit to working in a fast-paced setting with the ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
Good communication skills
