RAC is seeking an experienced risk and compliance professional to partner with senior leadership in driving risk awareness and compliance at RAC Insurance.
Responsibilities
Lead and enhance the RAC Insurance risk and compliance oversight strategy, strengthening a proactive risk culture.
Conduct second line assurance reviews and drive improvements across all risk areas.
Oversee and challenge RAC Insurance’s risk profile, ensuring alignment with risk appetites and tolerances.
Provide subject‑matter expert advice to senior management and deliver timely, insightful reports on risk and compliance performance.
Build and sustain professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulators.
Lead, coach, and mentor team members to support growth and organisational objectives.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in risk or compliance roles within financial services or regulated industries, ideally insurance.
In‑depth understanding of APRA standards, the Insurance Contracts Act,
and the General Insurance Code of Conduct.
Strong analytical capabilities, critical thinking, and effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
Tertiary qualifications in risk management, insurance, or a related field (industry memberships a plus).
