Join Aurizon's Mechanised Production team and work on some of the largest and most specialised rail maintenance machinery in the country. From ballast cleaners and resurfacing machines to heavy on‑track equipment, you'll learn how to maintain the machinery that keeps the Central Queensland Coal Network moving safely and efficiently. Our 2026 intake offers both Mechanical and Electrical Apprenticeship pathways, giving you the prospect to develop hands‑on skills, gain nationally recognised qualifications, and build a long‑term career in the rail industry.
Through a combination of on‑the‑job training and TAFE study, you'll complete your apprenticeship over a 3–4 year period. We'll provide the training,
support and development to help you build valuable trade skills and launch a long‑term career with Australia's largest rail freight operator.
