Role Description
This is a full time, on-site Legal Secretary / Paralegal role based in Bundall, QLD. The role involves supporting family law practitioners with document preparation, court forms, and correspondence, as well as maintaining accurate files and matter management systems. Daily tasks include drafting letters and basic legal documents, organizing and filing evidence and disclosure, scheduling appointments and court dates, and liaising with clients, counsel, and external stakeholders.
The position also includes managing diary and email for fee earners, billing and time-entry support, and general administrative duties to ensure smooth workflow within the practice. The successful candidate will contribute to a respectful, professional setting and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all matters.
Qualifications
Strong legal administration skills, including document formatting, file management, and preparation of court forms and correspondence.
Experience in family law or another legal practice area, with an understanding of court processes and legal terminology.
Proficiency with legal practice management software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and electronic document management systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail, accuracy, and qualified client service.
Effective time management, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple matters in a busy practice.
Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and ethical conduct in handling sensitive client information.
