Intermediate Accountant - Tax & Business Services

We are a well‑established accounting and taxation practice in Mt Hawthorn. We provide taxation, business advisory, and compliance services to a wide range of clients. We are seeking an organised, proactive, and friendly Full‑Time Intermediate Accountant to join our close‑knit, skilled team.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Accountant with 2 years’ Australian tax and public practice experience to join our team. This hands‑on role offers variety, regular client contact, and the opportunity to build your skills in a supportive team setting.

It is a Full‑Time, on‑site position with hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs
Preparation of BAS, IAS, and other compliance obligations
Assisting with tax planning and advisory work




Liaising directly with clients regarding accounting and taxation matters
Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
Working closely with directors and senior accountants to meet client and lodgement deadlines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine interest in taxation and accounting, solid attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of accounting & tax experience in an accounting practice
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards
Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word & Excel
Knowledge of accounting software such as HandiSoft, MYOB AE and AR, Xero, Class, FuseSign, or comp
