About the Role

The AWS Global Sales team seeks an experienced Account Manager to focus on Telco, Media, Entertainment, Gaming and Sport businesses in Australia. The role requires a self‑starter who can develop and execute a coverage plan, build a robust pipeline, and deliver on customer outcomes. The Account Manager must have solid sales and technical expertise, deep knowledge of cloud and AI, and the ability to engage at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects.

Key Responsibilities
Drive adoption to meet or exceed targets.
Develop and execute a strategic plan that creates and maintains a robust pipeline of value‑based opportunities.
Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS cloud and AI services.
Analyze metrics data from accounts to evolve strategy.
Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement.
Collaborate with partners to manage joint engagement opportunities.
Assist customers in identifying use cases for priority adoption of AWS and best‑practice implementations.
Develop long‑term strategic relationships with key accounts.

Basic Qualifications
Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals.
Experience creating and implementing long‑term transformational account strategies.




Robust written and verbal English communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C‑level executives.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of key technology and market trends.
Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS, or experience with project management.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience in telco, media, entertainment, gaming, wagering, sports, or digital marketplaces.
