We’re opening a brand-current specialist centre in Marrickville, and we’re looking for a Medical Receptionist to help us get it right from day one.

This is part of Childrens Health Hub/Gutopia — a growing group of specialist paediatric and adult gastroenterologists . You’ll be the first face and voice patients and families meet, so we need someone warm, organised, and genuinely positive with people.

What you’ll be doing
Greeting patients and managing a busy reception desk
Answering and triaging phone calls
Booking and managing appointments across multiple clinicians
Processing payments and basic billing (Medicare, private billing)
Keeping the day running smoothly for our specialists and their patients
General admin support as the centre gets up and running





What we’re looking for
Previous experience in a medical or allied health reception role (specialist practice experience highly regarded)
Comfortable with practice management software (we use Clinic to Cloud) — happy to train the right person
Calm under pressure, well-presented, and a genuinely friendly manner
Strong attention to detail, especially with billing and patient records
Reliable, punctual, and a team player

Salary - $30–$35 per hour
