We are seeking an experienced Superintendent – Coal Mining to provide operational leadership across our open cut mining activities. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving safe production outcomes, developing frontline leaders, and ensuring the mine plan is executed efficiently while fostering a solid safety and performance culture.
About the Role (Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will):
Lead and mentor a team of Mining Supervisors and operational personnel to achieve safe and productive outcomes.
Drive compliance with all safety, statutory and environmental obligations.
Deliver production targets while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
Coordinate mining activities in collaboration with Technical Services, Maintenance and other site departments.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and reduce operational risk.
Develop workforce capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
Monitor operational performance and use data to make informed decisions that improve outcomes.

Sound knowledge of Queensland mining legislation and safety management systems.
