Stynes Bastian Lawyers is a busy, young, boutique firm in the heart of Melbourne’s legal precinct.

Established in April 2023 as a breakaway from a larger City firm, we have already experienced significant growth, and we now need another litigator to join our close-knit team.

The Role

You will, with support from the Partners, have carriage of a range of matters, including, but not limited to:
General Commercial Litigation.
Insolvency & Restructuring.
Employment Law.
Minor Crime, predominantly Road Safety.

You will be required to:
Assist in progressing the firm’s existing litigation matters to conclusion.
Deal with new enquiries, and run matters from commencement to settlement.
Provide sound verbal and written advice on a variety of litigious matters.
Prepare all requisite correspondence and documents, and effectively brief Counsel (if required).

The Ideal Candidate

You must have a current Practising Certificate, and a minimum of 2 years’ PAE in a similar role, with experience in the Supreme, Federal, County, and Magistrates’ Courts.





You must also have:
Exceptional attention to detail, and excellent time management skills.
Solid written and oral communication, negotiation and advocacy skills.
The ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
Energy and ambition, a strong work ethic, and ability to work well under pressure.

Experience using LEAP Legal Software is also desirable.

This is a full-time role available for immediate start, or as permitted by any relevant notice period, offering salary and advantages commensurate with experience.
