About The Williamtown Health Centre
Located 30km north of Newcastle at RAAF Base Williamtown, Australia’s premier fighter pilot training base. The base is one of the busiest in NSW, employing over 4500 people. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generally Monday - Friday.
What You’ll Do
Work Monday to Friday 0730 to 1530
Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate,
and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients.
Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards.
Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information.
Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements.
Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests.
What You Bring
Minimum of 1 year of full time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role. (Medical setting highly desirable)
Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
