About the Role
The Maintenance and Grounds Officer position plays a critical role in maintaining Congress facilities through carrying out a broad range of maintenance and grounds tasks to maintain Congress facilities in Alice Springs and remote communities to a high standard.
What are we looking for?
Someone to fit our team with the following requirements:
Practical experience and / or knowledge in building maintenance and grounds tasks.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well with colleagues.
Ability to perform physically demanding work in a challenging workplace.
Knowledge of protected chemical use, tool use and safe work practices.
Ability and willingness to be on-call including weekends as a part of a shared roster.
Ability and willingness to travel to and work in remote Aboriginal communities, including overnight.
Person of Aboriginal descent; that self identifies and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
Current NT Drivers Licence.
