Plasticsare a market leader, with the capacity to deliver various projects for a range of sectors including, but not limited to water, agriculture, construction, defence, energy, workplace, industry, infrastructure, manufacturing, and mining. We are looking for a hardworking individual with a solid work ethic who is interested in completing aCertificate in Engineering. The successful applicant will complete this traineeship over 12 months while gaining on-the-job experience with an industry-leading company.
As a Trainee your main duties will include:
PE, PP & PVC pipe fabrication and installation within the workshop and worksite environments - Use butt, electrofusion and extrusion welding equipment alone with general hand tools - Understand and interpret isometric drawings - Complete all on and off the job training requirements - Attend TAFE and maintain a high standard of work - Willingness to travel occasionally What we’re looking for:
Exceptional commitment to workplace safety - Solid interpersonal and communication skills - Sound level of organisational/planning ability - Ability to problem solve and work to deadlines - High attention to detail - Experience in plastic welding/installation - Relevant certificates in poly welding and extrusion welding of thermoplastics - White Card, Forklift licence, EWP, Excavator and Dogging ticket As part of the recruitment process, suitable applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical testing, including drug and alcohol screening.
