You’ll be the driving force behind editorial planning for The Weekly, MLA’s flagship e‑newsletter, and a suite of other industry e‑newsletters, transforming stories from across the organisation into valuable content.
You’ll lead the editorial calendar, chair weekly content planning meetings and work with subject matter experts across MLA to identify, develop and deliver timely, audience‑focused content. From interviewing stakeholders and writing feature articles to briefing content, editing copy and coordinating publication, you’ll ensure every edition is engaging, relevant and aligned with MLA’s strategic priorities.
You’ll also use audience insights and performance data to shape future content, refine editorial processes and continuously improve the effectiveness of MLA’s e‑newsletters.
Qualifications
Is an exceptional writer and editor with a sharp eye for detail and quality.
Can turn complex technical information into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.
Enjoys planning,
prioritising and coordinating multiple content projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Uses audience insights and analytics to improve content performance.
Builds robust relationships and works confidently with stakeholders across the organisation.
Brings sound judgement, curiosity and a proactive approach to identifying outstanding stories.
Has appropriate visa/residency status for full‑time employment in Australia.
