The Principal Advisor, Youth Detention Recruitment provides supervision and support to a recruitment team and provides high level advice on and coordinates a number of recruitment-related activities to support operations in Queensland youth detention centres, principally for the role of Detention Youth Worker, but for other roles as required.

Within this scope you will deliver advice and support about culturally appropriate recruitment and selection methods including talent attraction, candidate assessment, and guidance to tools available. You will also be required to contribute expert knowledge and skills to assist the team to implement strategic recruitment projects in a complex workforce.

You will also coordinate the delivery of services from external providers. These may include recruitment services, medical and functional assessments, and reference checking.
