Play a critical role in keeping our underground operation moving safely and efficiently
Responsible for the secure handling and charging of explosives across development and production areas
Ensure blast activities are completed to the highest standards
Keep underground production on track by safely preparing and charging blasts in development headings and stopes
Ensure all shot firing and explosive handling activities are completed in accordance with legislative requirements, site procedures and best practice standards
Maintain effective control of explosive magazines and support compliance with re-entry and blasting protocols
Assist with hole casing and provide support across the underground mining team as required
Contribute to a strong safety culture by identifying, reporting and managing operational and environmental risks.
Requirements
Current WA Shot Firer's Ticket
Current WA C Class Manual Driver's Licence
Dangerous Goods Security Card
Experience working with emulsion charging systems
A minimum of two years' underground mining experience
Robust commitment to protected work practices and operational compliance
Experience with Hypercharge and IKON systems will be highly regarded
