This is a unique prospect to step into a dual role combining Youth Pastor and School Chaplain at Rockingham Baptist Church, and working alongside students at South Coast Baptist College (shared campus). You will lead and grow a dynamic youth ministry (ages 12–17) while building meaningful connections within the school community—providing pastoral care, mentoring students, and strengthening the connection between church and college.

Key Responsibilities

Youth Ministry Leadership:
Lead and grow a thriving youth ministry (Years 7–12)
Plan and deliver weekly Friday night youth and Sunday programs
Disciple young people and create a secure, engaging environment
Recruit, train, and support volunteer youth leaders
Coordinate camps, outreach initiatives, and special events

School Chaplaincy
Provide pastoral care to students, staff, and families
Be a visible, relational presence across the school campus
Support student wellbeing with empathy and practical guidance
Build strong connections between church and school communities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a clear calling and passion for youth ministry, a strong, active Christian faith aligned with Baptist values, proven ability to connect with teenagers and build trust,



excellent communication and teaching skills, energy, adaptability, and a willingness to try current approaches, strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Relevant qualification (Ministry, Theology, Youth Work, or Chaplaincy – Diploma or higher)
Willingness to work towards Baptist Churches Accreditation
Current Working With Children Check (WA)
Current National Police Clearance
