Early Childhood Educator | Pre-Prep Program | Part Time

Join a community-focused sessional kindergarten as an Educator supporting a Pre-Prep program with a robust focus on school readiness and learning.

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well‑established community-focused sessional kindergarten in Camberwell seeking a passionate Educator to join their specialised Pre-Prep Program.

Working alongside an experienced Early Childhood Teacher, you’ll support children in their transition to school through a play‑based program with a robust focus on literacy, numeracy and school readiness. With a maximum of 22 children in the room, you’ll have the chance to build meaningful relationships and provide individualised support in a calm, welcoming environment.

About the Role
Support the delivery of a high-quality Pre-Prep program within a sessional kindergarten.
Assist with engaging literacy and numeracy experiences.
Observe and support children’s learning and development.
Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Work collaboratively within a supportive team.

About You




A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care / Cert 3 (or ACECQA‑approved equivalent).
Experience in a kindergarten or sessional kindergarten setting.
Knowledge of the VEYLDF and school readiness.
A nurturing, positive and collaborative approach.
A passion for supporting children as they prepare for school.
Fixed‑term: Terms 3 & 4, 2026
Potential to become an ongoing role
2–4 days per week (3 days preferred)
Monday to Thursday
8:00am – 4:00pm
Salary in accordance with VECTEA
