LO-GO Appointments is seeking a Finance Officer with strong asset accounting experience for a full time 12-month contract.

This role will oversee Council's asset portfolio, support audits and compliance activities, and support the maintenance of accurate asset and financial records.

Responsibilities:
Manage Council's fixed asset register, including infrastructure, property, fleet, plant and equipment and technology assets.
Process capitalisations, disposals, and depreciation.
Reconcile asset revaluations and maintain accurate asset records.
Reconciliations and financial reporting activities.
Support audits,



compliance activities, and continuous process improvements.
Manage Council’s insurance portfolio.

Skills / Experience Required:
Finance or accounting background with sound understanding of accounting principles.
Demonstrated experience working with fixed assets, including capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, revaluations, and reconciliations.
Local government experience or similar regulated or asset-intensive environments such as government agencies, utilities, statutory authorities, or large infrastructure organisations.
