Family Support Newcastle (FSN) is seeking an experienced and skilled Aboriginal Cultural Liaison Officer to work within our team for 20 hours per week at a SCHADS Grade 4.
The successful applicant will have experience facilitating meaningful activities that strengthen children's cultural identity, connection to community, learning and wellbeing. They will also develop and maintain respectful, reciprocal partnerships with Aboriginal organisations, Elders, community leaders and partner agencies to strengthen culturally responsive service delivery outcomes.
The role will provide cultural advice and guidance to FSN staff to support the continuous improvement of programs and service delivery.
This is an Identified Position. Being of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent is a genuine occupational requirement under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
