We are partnering with a well-regarded organisation within the insurance sector to recruit a Senior Underwriting Analyst to join their growing team.

This is a unique opportunity suited to someone with a solid background in Life Insurance Underwriting who is looking to step into a broader analytical and strategic role. You will utilise your underwriting expertise to support risk assessment frameworks, underwriting strategy, operational improvement initiatives, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Analyse underwriting trends, data, processes and portfolio performance
Support the enhancement of underwriting frameworks, guidelines and decision-making strategies
Partner with underwriting, product, operations and distribution teams to improve customer and business outcomes
Provide insights and recommendations to optimise underwriting efficiency and risk management
Assist with underwriting governance, quality assurance and compliance initiatives




Contribute to automation and AI-driven underwriting improvements
Work closely with key internal stakeholders and external partners, including reinsurers where required
Support continuous improvement and strategic projects across the underwriting function

About You
Previous experience within Life Insurance Underwriting is essential
Strong understanding of life, TPD, trauma and income protection products
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Commercially minded with strong problem-solving capability
Experience working on process improvement, underwriting optimisation or operational projects will be highly regarded
