About Us
SOPO Group operates two of the Gold Coast's premier hospitality venues – SOPO Southport and Club Paradise Surfers Paradise. We pride ourselves on delivering quality food, exceptional service and memorable dining experiences for our members and guests.
About the Role
As part of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for:
Preparing and presenting high-quality meals to Club standards.
Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation during service.
Working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and WHS standards.
Supporting a positive and professional team culture.
Sous Chef Responsibilities
In addition to the above, the Sous Chef will:
Support the Executive Chef with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Lead and mentor the kitchen team.
Assist with stock control,
ordering and minimising waste.
Ensure consistency, quality and compliance across all services.
Assist with rostering and kitchen operations where required.
About You
To be successful, you'll have:
Previous experience as a Chef (Sous Chef experience for the Sous Chef role).
Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery (preferred).
A robust work ethic and positive attitude.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to perform under pressure during busy service periods.
Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Versatile availability across a rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
