Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the organisation's security operations programme and a small security team.
Provide expert advice on protective security, risk management and compliance requirements.
Develop, implement and monitor assurance programmes to support ongoing security compliance.
Conduct security risk assessments, audits and reviews to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
Drive security awareness, training and stakeholder engagement initiatives across the organisation.
Prepare and review security reports, briefings, submissions and other strategic documentation.
Ensure security operations align with relevant government security frameworks and best practice standards.
About You
Demonstrated experience in protective security operations, risk management and compliance.
Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).




Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage priorities, resources and team performance.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
Ability to interpret policy, solve complex issues and deliver outcomes in a rapid‐paced environment.
