Join Swinburne University of Technology as we launch an exciting new Health Service Management major within our Bachelor of Health Sciences.
This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in establishing and growing an innovative discipline that prepares graduates for future-focused careers across Australia's evolving healthcare sector.
You'll combine your expertise in teaching, research and industry engagement to help shape curriculum, inspire students and drive meaningful research with real-world impact.
As a Senior Lecturer, you'll work collaboratively with the Course Director, Department Chair and academic colleagues to play a key role in delivering and advancing the Health Service Management major within the Bachelor of Health Sciences and related programs.
This role will:
Lead and deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across face-to-face and online environments.
Drive curriculum innovation and contribute to the ongoing development of the new Health Service Management major.
Build a high-quality research program aligned with the School's strategic priorities.
Supervise Higher Degree by Research students and mentor emerging researchers.
Strengthen partnerships with industry, government and the broader health sector.
Contribute to academic leadership, program coordination and the ongoing success of the Department.

About You
We're looking for an experienced academic who combines teaching excellence with a strong research profile and a passion for improving health systems.
You'll bring:
Demonstrated expertise in Health Service Management, health systems, or a closely related discipline.
Experience designing and delivering high-quality university teaching and creative curriculum.
A strong track record of research excellence, including high-quality publications and successful competitive grant funding.
Experience supervising postgraduate research students.
Well-established industry and professional networks within the Australian health sector.
Outstanding communication, collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
A commitment to creating inclusive learning environments and fostering student success.

Qualifications
A doctoral qualification in an area of Health Service Management, Public Health, or related disciplines.
Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in Health Service Management.
Additionally, a teaching qualification would be highly desirable.
