We're currently seeking a driven individual that has a basic to intermediate understanding of mechanical knowledge to join our team as aYard Assistant (Maintenance).
This role provides support to our mechanical tradespeople and wider workshop based team to ensure our high standards in maintaining and upkeeping our fleet are consistently met.

Base rate of $***** per hour.

Role Responsibilities
This role requires a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills.
Your main duties will include:
Cleaning the yard and mowing lawns as required
Emptying bins in the workshops and depot yard as required
Picking up and delivering parts and other objects as directed by the Workshop Manager/Supervisor
Carrying out maintenance and repairs to buildings as required, such as cleaning gutters and painting
Maintaining gardens and depot premises as required
Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed
Our workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.
You can expect to be provided with all necessary training, this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.

The Successful Applicant Will
A willingness to work a variety of shifts
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules
Confidence in using computers and software packages
Be proactive with a drive to finding better ways to continuously improve and be adaptable in a dynamic and growing team
We are looking for real, not perfect individuals that are passionate and invested in achieving outcomes
Be physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role which includes heavy lifting
Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, and working with children check.
Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia
Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State
Highly Regarded
Medium Rigid (MR) or higher licence class
