Overview
We are expanding our radiation and nuclear engineering capability and are looking for experienced professionals with nuclear safety expertise to contribute to a range of high‐impact projects across Australia.
Responsibilities
Support naval surface ship and submarine programmes in Adelaide and Perth
Support the safety case development for Australia's first Commonwealth radioactive waste disposal facility
Lead thinking on the assurance of autonomous systems and drive the application of machine learning to safety engineering
Unlock existing transport regulatory frameworks to enable autonomous operations
Digitise system engineering support to improve productivity
Support the assurance of Australia's commercial space‐related activities
Deliver safety and assurance programmes for major rail infrastructure projects in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne
Improve the efficiency of power generation and transmission through innovative modelling




Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent depth of training)
UK or Australian security clearance, or eligibility to obtain one (essential)
Safety and assurance knowledge for high‐risk technologies (highly regarded)
Previous Defence maritime experience (highly regarded)
Systems engineering knowledge and experience (desirable)
Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
Excellent client‐management and stakeholder engagement skills, or the aptitude to develop them
