Role Description
There are multiple positions available full‐time/part‐time Occupational Therapist roles based at all three Wonderful Mind sites – Doreen, Craigieburn and Mount Waverley, VIC – with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home.
The Occupational Therapist will provide assessment, intervention, and ongoing therapy to children and adults with developmental delays or mental health and wellbeing concerns, including early childhood intervention clients.
Day‐to‐day tasks include conducting functional and sensory assessments, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and using evidence‐based interventions to improve daily living skills, self‐care, social participation, and mental and physical health.
The role involves collaborating closely with clients, families, carers, and support networks to set meaningful goals, monitor progress, and adjust interventions.
The Occupational Therapist will also work in multidisciplinary partnership with health, community,



and government services, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and contribute to quality improvement and best‐practice service delivery.

Qualifications
Clinical expertise in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and outcome evaluation.
Knowledge of Rehabilitation principles and experience supporting functional independence and recovery.
Understanding of Medicine fundamentals relevant to mental health, developmental conditions, and physical health considerations.
Solid Communication skills, including the ability to build rapport, explain clinical information clearly, and collaborate with families and other professionals.
Experience or strong interest in Pediatrics, including early childhood intervention and family‐centred practice.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with AHPRA.
Demonstrated commitment to child‐centred, recovery‐oriented, and culturally safe practice for diverse client groups.
Ability to manage a caseload, prioritise competing demands, and work effectively in both in‐person and remote/hybrid settings.
Current Working With Children Check, police check, and valid driver's licence (or ability to meet equivalent local requirements).
