An opportunity for an experienced IT Asset Manager to join a large national organisation and lead the uplift of its hardware asset management capability.
Reporting to the Head of EUC & Assets, you will lead a team of 6 and take ownership of improving governance, lifecycle control, CMDB accuracy, asset discovery, and process maturity across a complex enterprise environment.
This role will suit someone who can step in quickly, bring practical solutions, and lead both operational improvement and team capability uplift from day one.
About the role
Lead the uplift and ongoing maturity of the organisation's hardware asset management capability across a large, complex national environment
Take ownership of end-to-end asset lifecycle processes, ensuring stronger governance, control, visibility, and data accuracy across the asset landscape
Improve CMDB integrity, asset discovery, inventory management, tracking, provisioning, repurposing, and secure disposal processes
Partner closely with procurement, finance, cybersecurity, EUC, infrastructure, and delivery teams to improve alignment and asset governance outcomes
Support the assessment, selection,
and optimisation of ITSM / ITAM tooling, with a focus on building scalable and fit‐for‐purpose processes
Lead and develop a team of 6, uplifting capability, driving consistency, and taking the team through a period of change and improvement
About you
Proven experience in IT Asset Management within large, complex environments, with a robust focus on hardware asset management and lifecycle governance
Demonstrated capability improving or building asset management processes, controls, and operating frameworks in ITIL-aligned environments
Strong experience across CMDB, asset discovery, inventory accuracy, audit readiness, compliance, and service management processes
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across technology, procurement, finance, and operational teams, with the ability to bring people on the journey
Leadership experience managing teams through uplift, change, and process improvement, while maintaining day‐to‐day delivery standards
Able to step into ambiguity, provide practical solutions quickly, and deliver outcomes without needing significant ramp‐up time
