About The Role Join the School Infrastructure Communications and Media team as part of the communication business partners to Asset Management Units across NSW.
This role helps deliver compliant, timely and clear communications to communities about minor infrastructure works, maintenance and upgrades happening at their schools.
Working across a network of over 2,200 NSW public schools, you'll plan and deliver communications for planned maintenance and reactive works from hazardous materials and compliance requirements to broader building upkeep, crafting clear resources and managing community expectations along the way.
It's a fast-paced role that juggles multiple priorities, responds quickly when issues arise and manages community concerns and complaints with care, turning challenging conversations into positive outcomes.

You Will
manage community enquiries and complaints with professionalism
build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
plan and deliver communication strategies across multiple channels
advise on innovative, best-practice communication approaches
monitor and evaluate communications performance
prepare briefings, reports and other stakeholder materials.
About You
Experience in a communications,



PR or stakeholder engagement role with a track record of producing clear, accurate communications for diverse audiences under time pressure.
Sound understanding of risk principles including anticipating how messaging may affect an individual or community and adjusting approach accordingly.
Skilled at producing clear content for diverse audiences.
Confident handling sensitive or high-pressure conversations.
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential Requirements Of The Role
Relevant qualifications in communications or a related discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Willingness and ability to travel and current NSW driver's licence.
Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
