Title: Research Fellow in Geodynamic Modeling & Surface Processes
Location: Clayton campus
Employment Type: Full time
Duration: 2-year fixed-term appointment
Remuneration: $86,195 - $116,981 pa Level A (plus 17% employer superannuation)

Responsibilities
Conduct high‐performance computing simulations and geochemical modelling to investigate landscape evolution and carbon cycling
Integrate complex surface process simulations with tectonic frameworks to quantify the impact of weathering, erosion, transport, and sedimentation on Cenozoic carbon budgets
Bridge landscape evolution theory with carbon sequestration science to establish a physical basis for Earth's long‐term climate resilience
Actively contribute to the broader research goals of the international, multi‐disciplinary project team




Publish high‐quality research findings in leading international journals and present at relevant conferences
Qualifications
PhD in Geodynamics, Geomorphology or a closely related field
Experience utilising high‐performance computing (HPC) and/or geodynamic or surface process modelling framework
Technical agility to develop and implement new computational workflows as required by the project
