Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating long‐term mine plans for Phosphate Hill Mine, encompassing mine scheduling, design, and reporting components.
Developing and maintaining the long‐term mine schedule, ensuring accuracy within +/-5% of plan targets
Creating pit and waste dump design shapes; developing overburden removal, ore extraction, waste dump, and backfill designs in Deswik CAD
Developing and communicating Annual Budget mine plan physicals, providing the basis for financial budget development
Ensuring mine plans are safe, operationally deliverable, and commercially accurate, reflecting current resource model data and geotechnical constraints
Mentoring and developing Mine Production Engineers in planning skills and mine design fundamentals
Supporting contractor engagement to ensure alignment of mid‐term plans with execution
About the Candidate
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high‐performance culture
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering (bachelor's degree minimum)
Demonstrated experience in surface/open‐cut mining environments with long‐term planning responsibilities
Competent in SAP Business Systems & Microsoft Office suite (Excel)
Strong capability in mine design, scheduling, cost forecasting and stakeholder communication
Deswik scheduling & CAD software suite (preferable)
Experience in publishing Life of Mine plan (JORC)
