The Role
With a sound understanding of the Dinka‐speaking community in Australia and its cultural sensitivities, you will act as a producer, fostering audience engagement on‐air and online. Prior experience in journalism or broadcasting will be highly regarded. This is a casual, onsite role based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Recruitment will include language and journalist assessments. Candidates must have full working rights and reside in Sydney or Melbourne.
Annual salary: $68,239 – $89,139 under Level 2.
About you
The ability to research, write, produce, translate and present audio content (including news, current affairs and community stories) in Dinka on radio and/or online platforms.
Proficiency in speaking and typing in Dinka and English, and comfort with a language assessment task.
Demonstrated professional experience using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram is an advantage.
Responsibilities
Produce and deliver Dinka-language audio content for broadcast and online audiences.
Translate and present content, ensuring cultural relevance and accuracy.
