Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high-growth Australian Children's consumer brand as it embarks on the development of an entirely new product category. Reporting directly to the Founder, this newly created role offers the rare opportunity to build and commercialise a category from concept through to market launch. You'll partner closely with senior leadership to identify market opportunities, shape product strategy and deliver innovative, customer-led solutions that drive long-term commercial growth. This is a highly autonomous role suited to a commercially minded product professional who enjoys taking ownership, influencing strategy and working across the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end development of new product ranges, from concept and sourcing through to launch.
Develop category strategies informed by market trends, customer insights and commercial opportunity.
Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, building compelling business cases and pricing strategies.
Manage supplier relationships and collaborate with international manufacturing partners to deliver high-quality products.
Oversee compliance, testing, quality assurance and regulatory requirements across the product portfolio.
Drive cross-functional project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets and critical milestones are achieved.
Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure products are delivered on time, on budget and to market expectations.
Continuously review category performance,



identifying opportunities for innovation and ongoing commercial improvement.
About You
You are an experienced Product Development or Category professional who combines strategic thinking with exceptional execution. You'll bring:
Demonstrated success developing and launching consumer products from concept to commercialisation.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer needs, innovation and profitability.
Experience working directly with international manufacturers and supplier partners.
A collaborative leadership style with confidence influencing stakeholders across all levels of the business.
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
