Full‐time, fixed‐term Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2years) with Base Salary $132,533 plus 17% superannuation.
About the Opportunity
The University of Sydney's Brain and Mind Centre is a hub for discovery, innovation and integrative research. The Centre supports clinical product development and translates research into improved treatment and disease prevention strategies. It comprises 27 research units, staffed by about 200 researchers and 100 students.
The Youth Mental Health and Technology team places young people at the centre of their own care, partnering with health services to develop innovative treatments for those aged ***** with emerging mental health disorders. Integrating cutting‐edge research with safe and effective clinical care enables rapid translation of findings into services that continuously improve mental health outcomes for young Australians.
Responsibilities
Work closely with multidisciplinary research collaborators.
Conduct independent and cooperative research activities.
Contribute to high‐quality publications and presentations in the field of youth mental health.
Support the development of competitive research grant applications and funding proposals.
Establish and maintain research collaborations with academic, industry, and community partners.
Supervise and mentor research students and junior researchers where appropriate.
Qualifications
PhD in psychology, psychiatry,



mental health, public health, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience conducting original research and scholarly activities in youth mental health.
Emerging track record of peer‐reviewed publications and research outputs in mental health.
Experience contributing to competitive research grants or funding applications.
Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative research partnerships and stakeholder networks.
Experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting students and/or early‐career researchers.
Experience with data science approaches to analyse clinical and digital mental health assessment data to generate new digital tools.
Employment Conditions
Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the employment; visa sponsorship is not available.
Position involves child‐related work; a Working with Children Check clearance is required.
