Job Description
As the Fixed Plant Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of fixed plant, site infrastructure, and camp maintenance assets across our underground copper mining operation.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for supervising trades personnel and coordinating planned and unplanned maintenance activities across processing plant equipment, surface infrastructure, camp facilities, water systems, and sewerage treatment assets.
The core responsibilities of this position include:
Managing scheduled daily maintenance, preventative maintenance, and shutdown maintenance activities across fixed plant, camp facilities, water infrastructure, and sewerage treatment systems.
Reviewing, prioritising, and assigning work to trades personnel to ensure safe and effective execution.
Supporting maintenance activities across fixed plant assets such as crushing, conveying, milling, pumping, flotation, filtration, and associated processing equipment.
Coordinating maintenance and breakdown response for site infrastructure, including camp accommodation, buildings, workshops, services, potable water systems, wastewater and sewerage treatment plants, pumps, pipelines, and associated utilities.
Responding to unplanned breakdowns, coordinating troubleshooting, and supporting timely return to service.
Working closely with underground operations, processing, maintenance planning, warehousing, contractors, and other site teams to meet operational and maintenance outcomes.
Providing leadership, mentoring, and coaching to build capability within the maintenance team.




Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, reliability, work quality, equipment performance, and infrastructure availability.
Managing maintenance work activities through Pronto, including work orders, maintenance history, feedback, and follow-up actions.
Coordinating critical spare availability with planners and warehousing to support planned work and minimise downtime.
Supporting contractor management for specialist maintenance activities, including camp services, water, sewerage and infrastructure works.
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site procedures, statutory requirements, environmental obligations, and safe work practices.

About the Candidate
Minimum 3 years' experience in a fixed plant, infrastructure, or maintenance supervisory role, preferably within underground mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry.
Trade qualifications in a mechanical fitting, boilermaking or other relevant maintenance discipline.
Experience maintaining fixed plant assets such as crushing, conveying, milling, pumping, flotation, filtration, and associated processing equipment.
Experience with camp, village, or remote site infrastructure maintenance will be highly regarded.
Exposure to water treatment, potable water systems, wastewater, sewerage treatment plants, pumps, pipelines, and associated utilities will be highly regarded.
Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and compliance requirements in a mining or remote operations environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, coach, and support trades personnel and contractors.
High level of computer literacy, including MS Office Suite, with Pronto experience highly regarded.
Strong communication, problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Manual Queensland driver's licence.
A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and following safe working practices.
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and police clearance.
Work Environment
This is a permanent, full-time FIFO role from Townsville or Brisbane, on an ***** day shift roster.
