We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Lead Educator.
This is afull-time contract for a maternity leave coverlooking after children aged 3-4 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
The Early Childhood Lead Educator is responsible for providing and maintaining a high-quality learning environment and program alongside the class early childhood educator and Teacher, supporting all students learning in all key areas.
They are also responsible for providing a high level of supervision that ensures the safety and wellbeing of all students in their care.
The Lead Educator provides practical support to the teaching staff, assisting with student learning, completing routine administrative tasks and assisting with the presentation of the environment, including organisation of materials and maintenance of equipment.
Support children's learning and development through individual and small group activities.
Assist educators in implementing engaging learning programs and documenting student progress.
Build positive relationships with children, families, teachers, and colleagues.
Prepare learning resources and complete administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, break times, excursions, and special events.
Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment that meets National Quality Standards.
Provide guidance and support to fellow educators and step into the Responsible Person role when required.
Attend team meetings and assist with general operational duties as directed by the Head of Early Learning.
Essential Qualifications and Licences
Have a current Positive Notice Blue Card.
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is the minimum requirement.
First Aid, CPE, Anapphylaxis and Asthma
Must be willing to act as a responsible person when required
