Zenith Energy is seeking an experienced
Construction Manager
to work as part of the construction management team for the on-site delivery of one of Australia's largest hybrid renewable energy developments.
This is an opportunity to be part of the team constructing a complex, large-scale infrastructure while working alongside an experienced project team committed to safety, quality and excellence.
About The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall execution of construction activities on site relating to the Transmission project, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Leading supervisors, subcontractors and site personnel, you'll be the key site representative responsible for coordinating multiple work fronts while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilisation through to project completion. Activities include construction of three substations and four x 132 kV buried transmission circuits.
Manage multiple subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.
Deliver construction milestones on time while maintaining quality and cost objectives.
Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Zenith Energy's HSE Management System and Australian Standards.
Coordinate daily pre-starts, subcontractor meetings and construction planning activities.
Monitor project KPIs including safety, schedule, quality and productivity.
Identify project risks and implement practical mitigation strategies.
Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants and mine site management.
Prepare construction reports, progress updates and site documentation.
About You
You are a proven construction leader who thrives in remote project environments and enjoys delivering technically complex infrastructure projects. You bring a team-oriented leadership style, excellent planning skills and the ability to make sound decisions in fast‐paced construction environments.
To be successful, you will have:
A minimum of five years' experience managing civil or infrastructure construction projects.
Demonstrated experience delivering construction projects on operational mine sites.
Proven experience leading multiple large‐scale construction projects with individual project values exceeding $100 million.
Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, scheduling and project delivery.
Sound understanding of HSE systems, Australian Standards and construction legislation.
The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational, reporting and problem‐solving abilities.
Qualifications
Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Construction White Card.
Relevant HSE qualifications (First Aid, Working at Heights, Confined Space or equivalent).
