With our client's global footprint expanding rapidly, they are appointing a
Chief Accounting Officer
. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this executive leader will own the architectural design, implementation, and management of their international financial infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
Global Control:
Architect and oversee the global accounting framework, ensuring impeccable financial integrity, accuracy, and timely reporting across all domestic and international business units.
Technical Frameworks:
Serve as the final authority on international accounting standards, driving absolute compliance across
US GAAP
, AASB, and IFRS, while managing complex multi-entity consolidations, FX strategy, and transfer pricing.
Risk & Controls:
Build, scale, and continuously stress-test robust internal control frameworks, corporate governance policies, and financial risk mitigation strategies fit for an enterprise-grade technology business.
Strategic Execution & Capital Optimization
Executive Advisory:
Act as a core advisor to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team on the financial mechanics of capital raises, corporate structuring, international expansions, and M&A;/due diligence activities.
Treasury & Liquidity:
Lead treasury accounting, optimize working capital reporting, and manage balance sheet integrity to safeguard assets and support high-level corporate decision-making.
External Ecosystems:
Own the critical relationships with global external audit partners, tax authorities, and international regulatory bodies to ensure seamless compliance across all jurisdictions.
Systems Evolution:
Champion the modernization of the finance stack by directing global ERP deployments, cloud accounting integrations, and automated workflows designed to support exponential transaction volumes.
Talent Development:
Cultivate, mentor, and upscale a high-performing international accounting team, embedding a culture of analytical precision, collaboration, and continuous advancement.
Candidate Profile
Professional Qualifications:
Fully qualified CA or CPA.
Tenure:
A minimum of 10+ years of sophisticated accounting and financial management experience, with at least 5 years operating in a top-tier financial leadership capacity (e.g., Head of Finance, Group Controller, or CAO).
Sector Context:
Prior experience steering finance functions within hyper-growth environments—specifically Cloud Infrastructure, SaaS, Deep Tech, Hardware/Datacenters, or Capital-Intensive Technology markets is strongly preferred.
Technical Expertise
Global Accounting Standards:
Exceptional technical capability across US GAAP, IFRS, and AASB, paired with deep practical experience navigating international tax landscapes and multi-currency environments.
Transformation Track Record:
Demonstrable success pulling a finance function through significant scale, including substantial involvement in enterprise ERP transitions and automation projects.
Commercial Judgement:
Strong strategic acumen, with a proven ability to translate complex financial and regulatory realities into transparent, actionable business strategies for executive stakeholders.
Leadership & Execution
Elite Communication:
Superior stakeholder management capability, with the executive presence required to present confidently to the C-suite, Board, institutional investors, and external advisors.
Agility & Integrity:
Uncompromising ethical standards and the psychological agility to manage shifting, high-velocity priorities within an evolving tech ecosystem.
