BiORG is an Australian, veteran-owned asset support company specialising in Integrated Product Support (IPS) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for Defence and complex asset-based organisations. The company supports clients across the full capability life cycle, from concept and acquisition through sustainment and disposal. BiORG operates across four practice areas: IPS and ILS advisory and workforce augmentation, technical publications authoring, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), and IPS training. Team members work closely with Defence and industry partners to optimise asset performance, reduce risk, and improve through-life support outcomes.
Role Description
The ILS/IPS Consultant is a full-time, in office role based in Canberra. This role involves developing and implementing ILS and IPS strategies and plans to support complex Defence and asset-based projects across their life cycle. The consultant will perform detailed logistics analyses, contribute to supportability engineering activities, and prepare documentation such as support plans, maintenance concepts, and technical publications inputs. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with project stakeholders, coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant Defence standards and asset management frameworks. The role also includes supporting training initiatives,



contributing to continuous improvement of BiORG's methodologies, and providing responsive support to client needs.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Integrated Product Support (IPS), including practical experience in capability life cycle management.
Experience working with Defence or complex asset-based organisations, with familiarity in applicable standards, regulations, and asset management frameworks.
Skills in technical documentation, including preparation and review of support plans, maintenance documentation, and inputs to technical publications.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, maintenance, and project management stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills, with attention to detail and structured documentation practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on clear reporting, stakeholder engagement, and customer service.
Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, logistics, asset management, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Understanding of Intellectual Property considerations, including patent and trademark awareness, as they relate to technical solutions and documentation.
