Senior Marine Trades Technician | Marine Industry
We are seeking an experienced Marine Trades Technician, Boat Builder, or Shipwright to deliver expert vessel repairs and maintenance. The position would suit a boat builder, shipwright or marine all-rounder with practical experience across vessel repairs, refits and maintenance.Work on a varied range of vessels, from trailer boats through to vessels of approximately 100 feet
Role Overview – Marine Trades Technician
Require solid practical skills in vessel repair, refits, composite fabrication, rigging, plumbing, and mechanical work.
$40 to $50 per hour,
Location: Coomera (Northern QLD)
Key Responsibilities
Carry out fibreglass and composite repairs including lamination and structural work.
Engage in diverse boat building and refit tasks for vessels ranging from small trailer boats up to large craft around 30 metres.
Perform plumbing, rigging, and skin fitting installations and maintenance duties.
Assist with mechanical tasks related to vessel upkeep and system improvements.
Work autonomously, maintaining high-quality standards and flexibility to support evolving marine service requirements.

Candidate Requirements
Proficient in fibreglass lamination, composite repair, rigging, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while delivering quality craftsmanship.
Experience with a variety of vessel types and sizes, including hands‐on boat building and refit expertise.
Permanent residency or relevant work authorization required.
