Overview
Fitter – Queensland Metallurgical Operations, Maintenance, Lead Smelter, Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and operates on a ******* roster.
The Role
Reporting to the Supervisor – Maintenance, you will provide effective maintenance in a safe, efficient and cost‐effective manner to ensure that production and statutory requirements are met. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Repair and maintenance of fixed plant within the Lead Smelter
Undertaking preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on equipment such as pumps, conveyor systems and hydraulic systems
Maintaining high and safe quality of work
Qualifications and Experience
Trade qualification – Fitter (Mechanical) essential
Current manual driver's license
Experience within mining/heavy industry environment will be highly regarded




Ability to think logically and solve problems when required
Flexible in terms of rosters and possible changes to roster when required as per business needs
