About The Position
We have an excellent career opportunity for an Assistant Professor A - First Nations Health to contribute to the teaching, curriculum and resource development, assessment, coordination, and student support across the faculty-wide First Nations Health Program. This position is equivalent to a Senior Lecturer level at public universities.
Bond University's Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine offers a multidisciplinary portfolio spanning Medicine, Biomedical and Health Sciences, and Allied Health programs. The University and Faculty recognise the importance of ensuring our students develop a deep understanding of First Nations health, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
As part of the First Nations Health team led by Professor Shane Hearn, this position will:
Conduct high-quality research and scholarship that advances the knowledge and practice of First Nations and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, teaching, and service in the faculty with a focus on First Nations Health.
Develop and deliver innovative and culturally responsive curriculum, assessment, and teaching in First Nations Health.

Requirements
It is essential that the person who holds this position be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act **** that applicants are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.
Holds a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Developing track record of effective teaching, research, and academic administration within the higher education sector in a First Nations health and education context.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in teams with academics from multiple disciplines is essential.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $165,****** (Full Time Equivalent) plus 17.5% superannuation per annum. Salary packaging options are available.
