The role will be based at the Susan Wakil Health Building at Camperdown Campus with travel to Westmead campus.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake independent teaching in discipline, contributing to outstanding educational design, delivery, evaluation and outcomes.
Engage in high‐quality teaching and learning experiences, using innovative approaches at pre‐registration, honours and post‐registration levels.
Supervise research students at undergraduate level in accordance with the School/Faculty/University expectations.
Design, coordinate and deliver quality educational units of study and experiences that support student learning, meet accredited curriculum requirements and contribute to the innovative design, development, implementation and evaluation of nursing curricula.
Participate in academic administration, school meetings and initiatives aligned with the faculty and University strategic priorities.
Contribute to a collegial and inclusive environment that values diversity, collaboration and excellence in research and teaching.
About you




Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
Postgraduate qualification in nursing or health care.
PhD in a field relevant to nursing or within six months of completion.
Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning, evidenced by participation in and development of effective and contemporary pedagogical practices that engage students in critical understanding and application of nursing practice.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to curriculum design and development in an established academic program.
Proficiency in planning, organisation, and the use of digital tools and learning technologies, with a commitment to providing high‐quality service and support to students and colleagues.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences including students, colleagues, clinical and industry partners, and external interested parties.
A developing network of relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions.
Experience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities.
